The traditional XC competition continues this year after a short break.Air club Aiolos of Drama organize once again the 9th edition of the AIOLEIA competition in the village of Petrousa in Drama Greece.Challenging tasks in a friendly enviroment.

The system Leonardo Live Tracking will be provided for all pilots by the organizer.

Also we make efforts to have free Wi-Fi internet at the takeoff.So prepare your smartphones to take and upload a lot of pictures!!!

Announcement : After the CIVL plenary meeting the final decision of the Greek NAC is that in Greek Paragliding Championship 2012 CERTIFIED GLIDERS ONLY will be allowed.

Entry fee :

- 80 euro before 30 April 2012

- 100 euro from 1 May until 31 May 2012

- 120 euro after 31 May 2012

Refund due to pilot cancellation :

- 70 euro before 31 MAY 2012, after that date no refund is possible.

The entry fee can be paid by bank transfer or PayPal.
The entry fee covers transportation to the take off, retrievals from main asphalt roads, maps, graphic material, T-shirt of the competition, barbecue party with beers and a snack (lunch packet) per day for each pilot.

Free flyers

Free flying pilots are welcome during the competition, with a cost of 40 Euro they will get - Transportation to the take off

- Retrieves from main asphalt roads in the task area for every day

- Competition T-shirt

- Map of the area

They are allowed to take off before the competition window opening and after the competition window closing

General : Race will go on according to the FAI rules and Local rules. The competitors need a license for paragliding pilot (Parapro4 , Parapro5) and valid international FAI card, they also need an insurance (covering the civil liability in competition as well as help, the rescue in the mountains and repatriation).Insurance cover for personal accidents and repatriation is also required. The relevant documents proving the insurance cover should be in English or Greek.

All pilots must wear a certified helmet, VHF radio, GPS and rescue glider are obligatory, a cellular phone is also strongly advised.

Flying is at your own risk!

Transportation : Trucks and buses will be leaving for the takeoff from the central square of village Petrousa where the head office of the competition will be. Gliders will be transported with trucks and the pilots with bus or minivans. The gliders must be on the truck until 10:00. Pilots transportation will be starting at 10:30 in order all pilots to be at the take off at 11:30-12:00. Any changes in the transportation will be announced by the organizer in time.

125 pilots according to the registration order
5 Places organization wildcard

50 places are reserved for Greek pilots

Prizes :

Best pilots in the competition will receive a cash prize. The cash prizes are for the following places

1^st place overall 600 €	Female pilots	EN C or DHV 2	EN B or DHV 1-2
2^nd place overall 400 €	1^st female 300 €	1^st place 300 €	1^st place 300 €
3^rdplace overall 200 €

NOTICE :

Total cash prize that we will give is 2.100 Euro with 120 pilots registered.

Prizes awarded are subject to numbers of participants.

Female cash prize will be awarded if more than ten(10) female pilots are registered in the competition.

Cash prizes for EN-C and EN-B category will be awarded if more than ten(10) participants per category are registered in the competition.

Practical prizes will be conferring amongst to other pilots.
